Red Daisy Farm

Red Daisy Farm

Just 25 minutes from downtown Denver, Brighton is an idyllic community located on Colorado's farming plains. It sports many a field growing everything from cucumbers to strawberries and pumpkins depending on the season. Red Daisy Farm is an oasis among 'em. As the name alludes, this is a flower farm that produces incredible bouquets of pinks, oranges and creams — and it doubles as a vacation rental.

If you’ve ever had fantasies of being raised on a farm like Taylor Swift or the Wendells on “Green Acres,” look no further. You’ll wake up to early light filtering through the windows of this barn-chic homestead to grab a cup of hot joe for a walk along the blossoming beds. Spend the time planning your day: Will you enjoy afternoon aperitifs by the pool? Or venture to local growers for fresh produce to make a meal with in your fully outfitted kitchen? With a convenient location and an entire private home, the world is indeed your oyster.

What makes it special?

The Red Daisy Farm family operates an on-site antique barn stuffed to the rafters with fun finds that might transport you back in time. Did your grandad have a creel basket just like that one? Make some purchases for yourself or the folks back home — everyone needs a new glass pitcher for sun tea.

The most Colorado thing about this place

Did we mention the rock-lined pool already? Dispel the notions you’ve conjured up in your head. This looks more like a tiny lake when you enter the backyard. With distant views of the Front Range on clear days, this is the place to be as the golden sun sinks below the horizon. Pull up a seat and appreciate the sweet chirping of birds.

Quirkiest thing to expect

Can a kitchen backsplash be quirky? We think so! The pressed-tin tiles that line the wall are usually reserved for old-school buildings dishing up brunch on a small-town street. But this rental has all the modern amenities with nods to the farmstead where it resides. Aside from the tile, there are barn doors on tracks leading to the bathrooms, dark wood accents and vintage floral photos that remind you you’re staying on a working grange.
