Origin Hotel Red Rocks

Origin Hotel Red Rocks

At Origin Hotel Red Rocks, you’ll find a perfect home away from home nestled at the base of Colorado’s Front Range mountains. You’ll be just minutes from Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre and the charming downtown areas of both Golden and Morrison — each lined with shops, eateries and drinkeries where your cup will overflow with craft beers, ciders and cocktails.

Rustic-chic accommodations and primo location make this official hotel of Red Rocks Amphitheatre an ideal place to rest your head on a Colorado getaway. Rooms range from suites with views of the rolling foothills and soaking tubs — great for muscles you’ve tired out while exploring — to sleeping spaces with cowboy-style bunkbeds, perfect for families or groups of friends.

What makes it special?

Let’s talk location: You have easy access to I-70, which is the road you’ll take into the mountains for skiing, hiking and just living that high-country life. However, you’re not so close that you’ll be kept up by the sound of noisy traffic, so unfurrow that brow. (Yeah, we saw you.) And if you’re catching a show at Red Rocks, you can book a ride on the hotel shuttle. Looking to explore our cities? It’s a 15-mile straight shot east to mile-high fun in downtown Denver, while Boulder is a 26-mile scenic drive to the north.

The most “Colorado” thing about this place

How do complimentary mountain bikes sound? You’re going to be close to some major MTB hotspots — like Matthews/Winters Park and Apex Park — so make sure to take those baddies out for a spin. And if that’s not “Colorado” enough for you, the hotel is also home to Nomad Taqueria & Beer Garden. Excuse us while we drop this mic.

Coolest amenity

It’s too hard for us to pick just one of their awesome amenities, so buckle up. For starters, this place takes the dog lovin’ to new levels. Book the Pup Pack, and your pal will be greeted with a bed, bowls, a toy and a bandana. And we don’t know why you’d want to stay inside with all the amazing nature right at your doorstep, but if that’s how you do you, the hotel provides the hook up with in-room exercise bikes loaded with programs.

Our favorite traveler review

“Origin was on our list of places for its proximity to Red Rocks and we were definitely not disappointed. Super friendly staff upon arrival and helpful with questions during our stay. Beautiful and comfortable room with great modern touches and flourishes. The Nomad Cafe for dinner was a real surprise with awesome food (we normally have a few places in Denver we love to eat at but were pretty tired to venture back out). For breakfast we hit Launch Coffee across the street. Looking forward to a future stay to enjoy a concert and hiking in this area.” — Arvin R., Google

Things to see and do nearby

Where do we begin? When you’re not jamming out at Red Rocks or hiking and mountain biking all the trails that surround you, take a 15-minute drive into Golden. Clear Creek cuts through the heart of downtown and is locally loved for summer tubing. If you’re looking to stay dry, opt for a Coors Brewery tour, visit the Buffalo Bill Grave and Museum or explore our state’s cool geology scene at the Mines Museum of Earth Science.
