An outside photograph of the brick exterior of The Inn at Riverwalk in Edwards, Colorado. On the left and right sides of the exterior are more business and buildings on a quaint street in Edwards. On the curb is a light green Subaru covered in a light layer of snow. Two dogs are sticking their heads out the window and someone is in the front seat. The sky is blue above the building.

The Inn at Riverwalk

Visit idyllic Edwards, only 10 minutes from Beaver Creek and 20 minutes from Vail, for easy access to the ski resorts, plus hearty restaurants and rushing Eagle River views. Nestled near miles of hikeable and bikeable terrain, The Inn at Riverwalk is loved for its quiet mountain-town vibe with easy access to the Vail Valley and beyond.

This homey inn has it all: a convenience shop, fitness center (take in the alpine views while sweating on the treadmill) and a heated pool with a steamy hot tub open in the summer. The on-site restaurant, Mountain Fish House & Oyster Bar, dishes out chilled oysters on the half shell. If seafood isn’t your thing, don’t worry, however. Charming nearby restaurants yield juicy bacon-cheeseburgers, salads tossed with fresh veggies, slow-roasted pastrami on soft rye bread and more. The Riverwalk is only steps away from the rollicking Eagle River and all the action of Edwards, so you’ll find fun around every corner.

What makes it special?

All the members of your family are welcome here — that includes your favorite furry pups. Leash up pawed pals and walk them along the river, sneak them a slice of crispy bacon on the pet-friendly patio of Hovey & Harrison, let them run in Freedom Park or snuggle up next to them in your hotel bed.

The most Colorado thing about this place

The Inn at Riverwalk is minutes away from winter-sports fun. During powder season, drive to enchanting Vail Village or head out to Beaver Creek Resort via the inn’s scheduled shuttle to the slopes. Pro tip: Reserve a ride in advance so they’ll be sure to have room for you.

A caramel-colored dog with floppy long ears is sitting on the light-brown floor of The Inn at Riverwalk lobby. The dog is leashed by their purple collar and is looking back at their owner who is not pictured. In the background is the lobby desk with dark-brown wood and a colorful mountain painting on the wall.
Two swimsuit-clad people hold hands and laugh together on pool chairs. There are tons of aspen and pine trees behind them and behind the short wooden fence outside of the pool. The sun is shining and reflecting off the small waves of the blue pool water.

Coolest amenity

It’s the Gear Garage, hands-down. You can rent lawn entertainment, a Polaroid camera, bikes, snowshoes, sleds, books and more. Cozy up for board-game nights in your room, or don a helmet for a leisurely bike ride along the river path on a sunny afternoon.

Room with the best view

Our bet is on the Two-Bedroom River View Condo. Head out onto the balcony with your savory breakfast burrito and catch breathtaking views of the horizon’s grand mountains and the Eagle River’s rolling rapids.

Two people stand in the hotel's lobby. One person holds a big red bicycle upright while the other person in a tank top, leggings and hiking boots looks at it.

Two smiling snowshoers in bright winter clothing walk through the snow-covered hills. Two dogs run beside them happily. In the background are hilly mountains speckled with trees and snow.

Our favorite traveler review

“We had a nice three-day stay at The Riverwalk. The grandchildren enjoyed using the outdoor heated pool and hot tub. The staff was very nice and helpful. They lent us games to play from the game room. We would go back when visiting again.” — GrnPnd, Tripadvisor
